Turkish premier holds phone meeting with Iranian president


ISTANBUL (A.A) - August 22, 2011 - Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Sunday held a telephone meeting with Iran's president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Erdogan's press office said.
Erdogan discussed with the Iranian leader bilateral relations as well as regional developments including Syria.
Erdogan's motorcade pulled over and stopped shortly before crossing the Istanbul Strait over the Bosphorus Bridge for the phone talk.
The motorcade waited on the emergency lane on road for nearly 40 minutes.
