Saudi King Meets Qatar’s Prime Minister


Makkakha Al Mukkrammah, August 21 (QNA) - Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia met here this evening at Al Safa Palace HE Qatar's Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani.
At the beginning of the meeting, HE the Premier and Foreign Minister conveyed greetings of HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, and HH the Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and their wishes to him of good health and happiness and to the Saudi people of further progress and development.
For his part, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques asked HE the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister to convey his greetings to HH the Emir and HH the Heir Apparent and his wishes for them of good health and to the Qatari people of further progress and prosperity.
During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral ties and a number of regional and international issues of common interest.
HE Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani congratulated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, on his blessed efforts the in the service of pilgrims through the implementation of the expansion of al-Haram al-Sharif and the inauguration of a number of holy sites development projects.
The meeting was attended by the Governor of Makkah Province Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Prince Abdul-Elah bin Abdulaziz, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Prince Muqrin bin Abdul Aziz, Chief of General Intelligence, and Prince Abdul Aziz bin Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques hosted an Iftar Banquet in honour of HE the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister and his accompanying delegation. (QNA)
