Deputy PM: Thai universities all set for ASEAN regional integration

Supachai told participants that the UN had endeavoured to promote equal education worldwide, explaining that the world’s future was not preoccupied only by trade issues but also the promotion of freedom of expression.

On this issue, he said every society must be guaranteed with equal access to communication, free of any digital divide, as a society of knowledge, ideas and innovation.

The UNCTAD Secretary General said in the current society, it was no longer necessary for people to commute to work; they could do so at home and communicate via digital channels. He added that this was a global trend and the ASEAN Community would take a step toward this trend. (TNA)
