NA MPs leave Parliament session in protest against Oil and Gas draft Law
Baghdad (NINA) – MPs of the national Alliance left the Parliament session in a protest against voting on the Oil and Gas draft Law.
Ibrahim Al Rikabi, MP from the NA, told NINA today that “we withdrew because we are not convinced with the draft law as it was written by 30 MPs, not by experts.”
He added “the draft law was supposed to be sent from the Ministry of Oil basing on intensified studies conducted by experts.”
Rikabi concluded “by our withdrawal, the quorum is under legal level and there will not be voting on the draft.”
