RI TO HELP BUILD TIMOR LESTE'S HUMAN RESOURCES CAPACITY
Dili, E Timor, Sept 19 (ANTARA) - The Indonesian government will realize its commitment to helping build Timor Leste's human resources capacity, particularly its foreign ministry's human resources, an Indonesian diplomat said here on Friday.
Ambassador / Senior Technical Adviser on ASEAN Affairs to Timor Letse's Froeign Ministry Agus Tarmidzi said Indonesia needed to assist Timor Leste in three matters of human resources development.
He said the three matters were human research and development, personal management planning and institutional as well as multilateral cooperation development planning.
Timor Leste is now doing what it can in its bid for full membership in the Association of South Asian Nations (ASEAN).
Tarmidzi has been in Timor Leste for the past few days to discuss technical matters and the form of assistance Indonesia would extend.
He was discussing the matters with Vicky Tjhong, secretary general of Timor Leste's Foreign Ministry.
Tarmidzi also continues to build communications with Timor Leste's Foreign Minister Zacharias A da Costa.
Tjhong said Timor Leste hoped Indonesia in a few months to come would have been able to provide assistance on the recruitment mechanism of the foreign ministry's staffers.
