Turkmenistan at the forthcoming 66th Session of UN General Assembly will put forward several initiatives on security issues in Central Asia and the Caspian Basin, the local media reported Wednesday.
The next General Assembly session will open at the UN headquarters in New York on September 13, 2011.
According to the country's Foreign Ministry, taking into account the importance of consolidating moves within regional and interregional development for the maintenance of global security, Turkmenistan within the framework of the 66th UN General Assembly will take several initiatives on security issues in Central Asia and the Caspian Basin.
