FIRE RAZES 8 HOUSES IN SEMARANG
Semarang, C Java, Sept 19 (ANTARA) - A fire ravaged eight houses in a densely-populated Peterongan area here early Friday, leaving three people injured.
The fire which broke out at around 02.00 a.m. was believed to have started at Suranto's house and later spread to nearby buildings, Rohani, a firefighter, said.
Three residents, identified as Atini, Ponirah and Sarjono, sustained burns in the blaze.
The fire was extinguished at around 04.00 a.m. after six fire trucks had been sent to the scene.
The cause of the fire is still unknown.
