Tayfour calls on Japanese companies to invest in Kurdistan, Basra


Baghdad (NINA) – Deputy Parliament Speaker, Arif Tayfour called on the Japanese companies to invest in Kurdistan and Basra during his reception to the Japanese Charge d’Affaires in Baghdad Ken Mokae.

Tayfour said, according to a statement issued by his office “our country still suffers from security and political problems and we need ongoing support from our friends, the Japanese companies can invest in the stable areas in Kurdistan and Basra.”

For his part, the Japanese official said that his government monitors with concern that events in Iraq, and that it is going to keep supporting Iraq on all levels.

The statement mentioned that both sides stressed the necessity of enhancing bilateral relations and to continue exchanging official visits. /End/
