FIA arrests two alleged human traffickers
SIALKOT, August 16, 2011 (PPI): Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested two sub agents Sadiq Shah from Sialkot city and Muhammad Haneef from Glotiyaan-Daska in their alleged involvement in human trafficking.
Deputy Director FIA Gujranwala Region Gul Sanobar Khan told the newsmen here on Tuesday that both of the accused were the sub agents of village Begowala-Daska based two fugitive international human traffickers Zahid Gondal and Shahid Gondal, the real brothers, who have already escaped to Greece.
The main human traffickers Zahid Gondal and Shahid Gondal, their agents and sub agents had extorted heavy amounts from village Chak Gillan East-Daska based six youths by sending them to Greece illegally after showing them the golden dreams of their lucid future abroad.
The said six youths were suffocated to death on July 20, 2011, who were identified as Bilal Ahmed s/o Ghulam Abbas r/o Motra-Daska, Aamir s/o Rehmat Ali , Muhammad s/o Yousaf , Zeeqaad s/o Muhammad Iqbal r/o village Chak Gillan-East(Daska tehsil), Pervaiz s/o Inayat Ali resident of Chawinda city(Pasrur tehsil) and Muhammad Imran s/o Muhammad Tufail r/o village Thatha Goraya-Daska had gone to Iran from Pakistan and were trying to enter illegally into Turkish Territory for going to Greece with the help of their agents (international human traffickers), loading them into a small sized container.
But due to tight vigilance by the Turkish Border Security Forces, the accused human traffickers escaped in a bid to avoid their arrest by parking the tightly closed container into deserted place near the Turkish border, where all the six youth died.
