CCA REGIONAL DIRECTOR RECEIVED BY VICE SPEAKER
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ A Vice Speaker N.Enkhbold received on Tuesday Mrs. Lydia Makuch Phillips, a regional director of the Asia and Americas at Canadian Co-operative Association (CCA). Present at the meeting were Donna Balcan, a manager of the CCA in charge of relations affairs; and Ts.Myagmar-Ochir, a deputy head of the Mongolian National United Association of Co-operatives.
At the meeting, N.Enkhbold expressed his satisfaction with projects and programs implemented by the CCA at the co-operative sector of Mongolia, and then underlined that there many things to learn from Canada having 100-year history of co-operative and from the CCA. In addition to it, N.Enkhbold said the government and parliament of Mongolia are paying a great attention to creating a legal environment for citizens make co-operatives and approving the biggest policy documents.
Thanking the Vice Speaker for an audience, Mrs. Phillips spoke about programs that are realized by the CCA from 1998 in Mongolia. For instance, highly-skilled financial experts of Canada begin to co-implement programs together with the Training and Information Center of Mongolia on giving advice to co-operatives of credit and savings in Mongolia from the year 2010. These experts are working in Bayan-Olgii, Zavkhan, Khentii, Ovorkhangai, Dundgobi and Dornogobi aimags.
