The top Thai military officers gave their morale support to the Thai naval officers who were set to start their anti-piracy patrols on August 16.

On the occasion, Admiral Wanlop told all the naval personnel to do their mission with courage, patience, perseverance and care and to prioritize the safety of themselves, their weaponry and the innocent.

The Thai deputy armed forces chief also ordered the Thai naval force to keep communicating with nearby cargo vessels and fishing boats, provide them with immediate assistance and boost relations with the foreign colleagues who join the international anti-piracy mission, saying that he is confident of the Thai naval fleet's successful mission off Oman.
