VICE SPEAKER G.BAKHUU RECEIVES GOVERNOR OF CENTRAL BANK OF KOREA

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ On Monday, a Vice Speaker of Parliament G.Batkhuu met Mr. Kim Choongsoo, the governor of the Central Bank of South Korea, in the Government House.
Beginning the meeting, the Vice Speaker appreciated signing of a memorandum of mutual understanding established between the central banks of the both countries with aims to widen the bilateral cooperation in economic sector and to develop collaboration between commercial banks. He wished success for the further cooperation.
G.Batkhuu also underlined an importance to expand the cooperation between the central banks of the countries, and to involve specialists of the Bank of Mongolia in mid-career and short-term training in order with a support of the Central Bank of Korea. Moreover, G.Batkhuu expressed his confidence that the ties between the central banks would intensify developing the mutually-beneficial cooperation.
In his turn, Mr. Kim mentioned that Mongolia is reaching its special period of economic development, and hoped that Mongolia would successfully overcome the challenge of it. Mr. Kim said he has an aspiration to widen the cooperation with the Bank of Mongolia, and promised to pay an attention to training Mongolian banking specialists.
The Vice Speaker pointed out that the visit of Mr. Kim is running prior to a state visit of Lee Myung-bak, the President of the Republic of Korea to be paid to Mongolia soon. He expressed a hope the upcoming visit would contribute towards increasing the economic and external trade turnover of the countries and bringing the banking ties into a new level.
