Qatar,Belarus Start Official Talks
Doha, August 15 (QNA) - the State Of Qatar led by HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani and the Republic of Belarus led by President Alexander Lukashenko, opened a session of official talks at the Emiri Diwan Premises here on Monday.
The talks were attended by HH Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Al Thani , the personal representative of HH the emir . The talks were also attended by HE Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani , the Deputy Premier And Chief of the Emiri Diwan HE Abdullah bin Hamad Al Attiyah and a number of Their Excellencies the ministes.
While attending the talks on the Belarus side were the First Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Semashko and a number of members of the accompanying official delegation .
Over the talks , the two sides discussed relations between the two countries and means of bolstering them in various domains. A set of regional and international issues of mutual concern were also taken up. Following the talks , HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani and Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko, witnessed the signing ceremonies of a set of agreements and memos of understanding.
A set of agreements on regulating air services , a second on media cooperation , a third on legal cooperation and a fourth on exempting the two states'nationals and holders of diplomatic and private passports from getting an entry visa between the governments of the State of Qatar and the Republic of Belarus , were signed by the two sides.
The two sides also signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on touristic cooperation between the two governments, and another memo of understanding between Qatar Central Bank (QCB) and belaris national bank and a third memo of understanding for cooperation and joint news exchange between Qatar News Agency (QNA) and Belarus News Agency( BelTA) .
The two sides also signed an agreement for exploration of minerals and mining processing between the two governments and a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Qatar Petroleum (QP) and the government of the Belarusian Oil and Chemicals/ Belneftekhim/.
A red-carpet reception ceremonies were accorded to the Belarusian guest upon his arrival at the Emiri Diwan.
The distinguished guest was welcomed upon arrival at Doha International Airport earlier today for a two-day state visit to Qatar by HE Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage Dr. Hamad Bin Abdulaziz Al Kuwari , Qatar's non -resident ambassador to Belarus HE Ahmed Bin Saif Al-Ma'adadi and Belarus non-resident ambassador to Qatar HE Alexander Semeshko.(END)
