Ministry of Interior to Issue Exit Permits From All Services Centres


Doha, August 14 (QNA) - The Ministry of Interior (MoI) will issue exit permits to residents and minor Qatari citizens from all services centres stationed throughout the country, the ministry said in a statement issued here on Sunday.
Unified Services Centre (USD) Director Colonel Abdullah Ali Al Sulaiti said, "Besides the Passports and Airport Security Department, Services Centers in Al Khor, Mesiemeer, Al Shahaniya, HMC, Q-Post, Industrial Area, Al Shamal, Al Wakrah, Souq Waqif, Umm Salal, Al Dhayin and Dukhan will issue these exit permits."
Assistant Director of Information Systems Department of the MoI Colonel Abdul Rahman Al Maliki said applications for the exit permits can be submitted electronically also through e-government web portal or MoI self-service kiosks.
These kiosks are available in 11 locations in different parts of the country and in shopping complexes and malls. The Ministry is planning more kiosks in different locations, he added.
Exit permits for single travel and multiple travels can be applied from the services centers. Fee for single travel permit is QR 10 and for multiple travel permits QR 500 to be paid by bank cards.
Applicants should fill the form available on the MoI website with the authorized signature and submit with the original identity of the sponsor or the company card as well as the passport copy of the sponsored persons.
The process for availing the exit permit is simple. Using smart cards, individuals and authorized representatives of companies can obtain exit permits electronically.
It is protected by password to ensure genuine authorization. After keying in the password, the applicant shall select the exit permit service and furnish Qatari identity details of the person planning to travel. The system will extract the information and issue the permit. (QNA)
