Power outage: Protestors burn Hesco office in Tando Jam
Tando Jam, August 12, 2011 (PPI): Electricity outage continuing for three days due to tripping of feeders forced citizens here Friday taking to streets and burning local Hyderabad Electricity Supply Company (Hesco) office after ransacking it.
Hundreds of enraged protestors staged a protest demo and chanted slogans against load shedding and power outages in City Feeder area. Later, they attacked the Hesco office at Mirpurkhas Road and set it on fire after ransacking it. The Hesco employees present in the office took to heels to save their skin.
Later, local police rushed there and dispersed the protestors. Fire tenders extinguished the fire. The power supply to the affected areas could not be restored till filing this report.
