STATE SECRETARY ATTENDS HIGH-LEVEL MEETING ON YOUTH

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The State Secretary of the Ministry of Social Welfare and Labor U.Byambasuren has taken part in a high-level meeting on youth entitled “Youth: Dialogue and Mutual Understanding” held in frames of the 65th Session of the UN General Assembly in New York, USA.
Mr. Byambasuren has delivered a speech at a thematic panel discussion themed "Challenges to youth development and opportunities for poverty eradication, employment and sustainable development" to introduce to the gathered the governmental policy and programs for improving social matters of youths, supporting employment, ensuring participation of them in the society and results, challenges. He has pointed out that the difference of educational level and employment is increasing among young people in Mongolia, and inequality still exists.
At the end of the high-level meeting which is held in conjunction with the Year of Youth, the participants have adopted a document having 17 directions on supporting development of youths and augmenting the mutual understanding, and this document urges all countries for reducing unemployment rates among young people.
