HM Queen Sirikit celebrates 79th royal birthday anniversary
BANGKOK, August 12 (TNA) - Her Majesty Queen Sirikit is celebrating her 79th royal birthday anniversary, which falls on August the 12 annually and is regarded as the national Mother’s Day in Thailand.
On Friday, Her Majesty, together with His Royal Highness Crown Prince Vajiralongkorn and other members of the royal family presided over at Chitralada Palace, at which an alms-giving ceremony was held.
In honour of the auspicious occasion, Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra and cabinet members, including defense and police chiefs, senior government officials and foreign dignitaries, visited the Bureau of the Royal Household in the Grand Palace to convey in writing their veneration and warm wishes to the Queen.
