ISFD, Qatar Charities to Discuss Sustainable Villages Program
Doha (QNA) - The Islamic Solidarity Fund for Development (ISFD), an affiliate of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) will hold on Monday a joint meeting with a number of representatives of charities in Qatar and the Qatari Red Crescent Society (QRCS).
The meeting discusses means of cooperation and partnership between the two sides to implement the "Sustainable Villages Program", scheduled to be inaugurated in West Darfur in Sudan and Salamat Region in Chad in 2012.
The project, which is inspired by the United Nations Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), will be implemented in close partnership with the local governments, community organizations, non-governmental organizations (NGO) and International charitable organizations.
