Pakistan protests U.S. cross-border attack from Afghanistan
Islamabad, Sept 18 PPI: Pakistan on Thursday protested an uninformed United States cross-border attack from Afghanistan, which killed six people in northwestern tribal region.
Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi told a press conference that Pakistan was not
informed about the U.S. attack on Wednesday. "Countries have to respect each other's
sovereignty," said Qureshi. "The incursion will be counter productive and will not
help improve situations."
At least six people were killed in a drone attack in South Waziristan tribal agency
on Wednesday hours after visiting Chairman of U.S Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Mike
Mullen assured that U.S. would respect Pakistan's sovereignty.
