Italian Consulate in Erbil commences its duties soon
Erbil (NINA) – Minister of Planning in Kurdistan region, Ali Sindi, affirmed the importance to develop the private sector to vitalizes the region’s economy and continue joint works between the region and Italy.
In a statement issued after a meeting with official representing Italian Embassy’s office in Erbil Simon De Santé, on Wednesday, Aug. 10, Sindi expressed, “The Ministry’s readiness to help the Embassy’s Office.” He shed light on the development process in Kurdistan region.”
For his part, the Italian diplomat pointed out, “Bilateral relations have entered a new phase, after the visit of the region’s head to Italy.” He pointed out that Italian Consulate in Erbil will officially commence its works soon.
Santé pointed out that Iraq, and its Kurdistan region, enjoy strategic and economic status for Italy, and Italian firms have noticeable presence in Kurdistan, stressing that he seeks to consolidate this relations.
