BANK OF MONGOLIA REPORTS
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The Bank of Mongolia has reported that money supply (broad money or M2) at the end of July 2011 reached MNT 5922.5 billion reflecting increases of MNT 149.9 billion or 2.6 per cent against the previous month, and of MNT 2379.4 billion or 67.2 per cent against the previous year.
At the end of July 2011, currency issued in circulation reached MNT 673.9 billion increased by MNT 35.2 billion or 5.5 per cent against the previous month, and by MNT 221.6 billion or 49.0 per cent against the previous year. Loans outstanding at the end of July 2011, amounted to MNT 4681.4 billion, up by MNT 128.6 billion or 2.8 per cent against the previous month, and by MNT 1709.4 billion or 57.5 per cent compared to the same period of the previous year.
Principals in arrears at the end of July 2011, reached MNT 71.3 billion reflecting an increase of MNT 1.4 billion or 2.1 per cent against the previous month, and a decrease of MNT 39.2 billion or 35.4 per cent against the previous year.
At the end of July 2011, the non-performing loans over the bank system reached MNT 381.9 billion showing decreases of MNT 8.6 billion or 2.2 per cent compared to the previous month, and of MNT 32.6 billion or 7.9 per cent against the previous year.
In July 2011, there were 18 trading days and 3.3 million shares valued at MNT 25.3 billion were traded.
