Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The number of unemployed who had registered at Labor and Welfare Service Divisions in aimags and capital city and were actively looking for job reached 40.6 thousand at the end of July, 2011. It reflects an increase of 1,376 people or 3.5 per cent against the previous year.
Compared to the same period of the previous year, the increase in the number of registered unemployed was mainly due to the increases in Ulaanbaatar city (2,714 people), Ovorkhangai (1,170 people), Khovd (1,163 people), Darkhan-Uul (276 people), Bayan-Olgii (94 people), Bulgan (76 people), and Dundgobi (65 people) aimags.
