EXHIBITION OF N.K.RERIKH'S PAINTINGS TO OPEN


Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ An exhibition called "N.K.Rerikh and Mongolia" will open in the Fine Arts Museum named after G.Zanabazar.
It has been dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the National Revolution of Freedom, 10th international meeting of Mongolists, and 85th anniversary of the Central Asian Expedition of N.K.Rerikh in Mongolia.
This exhibition is co-organized by the International Association of Mongolian Studies, Fine Arts Museum of G.Zanabazar and Museum named after N.K.Rerikh.
The exhibition will present Rerikh's 59 paintings created from 1925 to 1947, as well as a portrait painted by his son S.N.Rerikh. These works have come from the International Center of the Rerikh. It is expected that a painting named "Red Hero" will be a special one at the exhibition.
Apart of some 7,000 paintings, N.K.Rerikh did 30 scientific works for literature and philosophy. Based on his deep knowledge about Mongolia, N.K.Rerikh created paintings featuring its nature, history and historical sites.
