GERMAN NOBEL PRIZE LAUREATE IS GIVING LECTURES


Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ On Tuesday, a German physicist and Nobel Prize laureate for physics Klaus von Klitzing gave a lecture themed “Discovery of Quantum Hall effect” in the Round Room of the Mongolian State University (MSU).
The lecture has been given within a work of inviting Nobel Prize laureates for giving serial lectures. It is expected that next lecture would be given by a Japanese Nobel Prize laureate on April of 2012.
In accordance with a decision of the MSU's Academic Council, a title of honorary doctor and certificate of the MSU has been awarded to Klaus von Klitzing. On August 10, he will give a lecture with a topic “How long one meter is?”.
