Samsung wins Best home audio-visual brand award in Europe
LAHORE, August 08, 2011 (PPI): Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. was recently presented with the Which Best Home Audio-Visual Brand Award at Kings Place in London the latest in a string of accolades for Samsung’s Smart TVs, Blu-ray players and home theatre systems.
In presenting the award, Europe’s largest consumer advocacy group recognized Samsung for its consistently high marks in customer satisfaction surveys and product quality and reliability reviews. In fact, the company’s audio-visual (A/V) lineup has garnered 15 Best Buy designations since 2010 from a prestigious magazine named Which. This achievement surpasses all other home A/V brands.
This prestigious recognition affirmed European consumers’ faith in the Samsung brand, which was also honoured with the consumer-group’s first-ever award for Best Portable Media Brand. The latter award celebrated high customer-satisfaction ratings for Samsung’s innovative mobile phone, notebook PC, and tablet devices.
Samsung Pakistan’s Managing Director, Mr. Hee Chang Yee said, “We are extremely honoured to receive Best Audio-Visual Brand and EBest Portable Media Brand together, since these awards are truly given by consumers. We will continue to keep our ears open to what consumers say and make our utmost efforts to offer the best products and services to them.”
The European consumers have thus expressed their overwhelming appreciation for Samsung’s elegantly designed Smart TV, Blu-ray and home theatre products. Samsung Smart TVs scored particularly high in picture quality and usability. In announcing the awards, Which Magazine has applauded Samsung’s consistent product quality improvements. Samsung’s customers have consistently voted with their feet as well, making Samsung the global TV market leader for six consecutive years, according to market research firm Display Search. Samsung captured a 21.9-percent share of the global TV market in the first quarter of 2011, and leads the European TV market. According to GFK, a market research institute, Samsung has captured 26.1 percent of the UK flat-panel TV market in 2011 to date.
Outside of Europe, Samsung was recently chosen as the Best TV Brand and Best 3D TV Brand at the 2011 Readers Choice Award of About.com, a part of The New York Times Company in the United States. Australia’s top consumer advocacy group, CHOICE, also selected Samsung TV as the Best TV Brand, and Samsung topped China Brand Research Centres TV brand power index. With more than 650000 members, Which promotes informed consumer choice in the purchase of products and services, by conducting tests on hundreds of products and services. The Which Awards were launched in 2007 to reward the very best businesses in the UK, who consistently get it right for consumers.
