Military Confab against DPRK under Fire

Pyongyang, August 9 (KCNA) -- A high-ranking officer of the south Korean military was reported recently to have had unofficial talks with the chief of the Staff of the U.S. Army who flew into south Korea in top secrecy. They reportedly discussed on "perfect posture" to cope with someone's "military tendency and possible provocations" and "reinforcement of asymmetry combat forces including nuclear, missile and cyber combat forces." It was recently disclosed through media that the south Korean authorities and the U.S. military are working out in secrecy an annex document of the "CONPLAN 5029" to cope with "the contingency in the north."
Rodong Sinmun Tuesday observes in a bylined commentary in this regard:
This was aimed to escalate military confrontation and provoke a war against the DPRK, to all intents and purposes.
What matters is that the south Korean authorities have not given up the "CONPLAN 5029" for aggression despite strong public protest and denunciation at home and abroad but are busy drawing up its annex document with the U.S.
