Quaid-e-Awam University remains closed for the third day in succession
Nawabshah, August 05, 2011 (PPI): Due to tension between a student organization and teachers, Quaid-e-Awam University remained close for the third day in succession.
As per details, the university administration has cancelled admissions of six students whereas restricted them for one year from joining the varsity for misbehaving with teachers. Meanwhile, the University Teacher’s Association has vowed to continue their strike unless stern action is taken against the accused students.
On the other hand, the students have staged a sit-in in front of Nawabshah Press Club to protest against the restriction imposed on them. They said the teachers are honourable to them but they do not have the right to play with the career of the students. They also said that they are not guilty and despite this, they are ready to apologize.
The students further said that their version of the incident was not taken. They threatened that if the restriction against them is not lifted then they would continue to protest.
