Thailand wins 13 prizes in ASEAN Energy Awards 2011
BANGKOK, August 5 (TNA) - Thailand has won 13 prizes for its energy conservation programs in the ASEAN Energy Awards 2011.
The 13 ASEAN prizes include those in three categories, energy management in buildings and industrial factories, energy conservation building and renewable energy project.
The Thai Ministry of Energy's Department of Alternative Energy Development said that 15 of the country’s energy conservation program were nominated for the ASEAN Energy Awards 2011, noting that the prizes also reflect the energy conservation awareness in Thailand in order to reduce the Kingdom's reliance on fossil fuel.
The presentation of the ASEAN Energy Awards 2011 will be held in Brunei next month. (TNA)
