Abu Ras: government is to strengthen democracy by holding 2009
AMRAN, Sep. 16 (Saba)- Deputy Prime Minister Sadaq Amin Abu Ras said that the government is working to strengthen democracy good governance and peaceful power transfer by holding 2009 parliamentary elections.
In Ramadan evening session held in Amran governorate, Abu Ras
reviewed current developments to hold the elections.
They are failed forces who try to delay elections, he said.
He accused these forces of damaging political life to get political
interests, calling on people to active participation in upcoming
elections.
He highlighted decision of president Ali Abdullah Saleh to stop war
in Saada, saying it was wise decision to settle peace and security
in the region.
Abu Ras pointed out to the decision of the government to allocate YR
10 billion to rebuild the governorate .
In the session, the Minister of Public Health and Population
Abdul-Kareem Rase reviewed health projects in the governorate of
Amran, saying that 198 health government facilities and 284 private
facilities were set up in the governorate during two years ago.AH
