Cases against P.Dash and L.Altangerel transferred to prosecutors
The cases of the former Chief of National Emergency General Board P.Dash, and the former Chief of the State Reserve Completion Office L.Altangerel have been transferred from the Anti Corruption Authority to Ulaanbaatar Prosecutors' Office.
They are accused of causing a big loss to the state by misusing their official position. They arranged for repairs to the building of the National Emergency General Board without calling for a tender for the job and without permission from the State Property Committee. The repairs were found to be below standard. They also bought cars for their organizations without permission.
Their cases have been investigated and they now face trial under the Criminal Law.

Russian motorcyclists to recreate 13th-century journey
12 motorcyclists from Russian Moscow, Samara and Perm cities will follow the route taken between 1247 and 1249 by Alexander Nevskii to reach Kharkhorin, the capital of the Mongolian Khaan, and then return to homeland.
The adventure was suggested by a priest of the Russian Church, Dmitrii Meninikov, in Kushva city. The 12 begin their journey August 7 from Uspenskii Church of Vladimir city and plan to cover 17,000 km through Russian and Mongolian territory in 35 days, when they return to Nijnii gorod province where Nevskii died in 1463.

District wants more money
Managing officials of the UB city's Sukhbaatar district have asked the capital city administration for MNT11 billion. Some five billion of this will go to construction of administrative office for the district and MNT5.6 billion to implement a project to improve the flow of water in the Selbe River.
The district is at present executing 13 major projects worth MNT4 billion and 322 million. These include building an ice skating square, a sports palace, a hospital to serve 19th and 20th khoroos, and a police complex.

About robotic operations
A Health Minister S.Lambaa received doctors from the Wong-wa University in South Korea and two Mongolian doctors who had studied robotic surgery there.
They are scheduled to perform a robotic surgery at the Railway Hospital today. Similar surgery will be done at Hospital No. 2 and other places.
The Korean doctors said their university would train more Mongolian doctors and was ready to perform robotic surgery on Mongolians who went there. Once the practice becomes common here, the Mongolians will not have to go abroad for expensive surgery and treatment, noted the Minister.

Mongolian festival in Sweden
The Swedish-Mongolian Foundation and the Viking Foundation jointly organized a festival of Mongolian life and culture in Scania, the southernmost province of Sweden on July 23 and 24.
Counsellor at Mongolia's Embassy R.Munkhuu opened the festival. He and senior local officials joined the Head of the Viking Foundation in addressing the gathering.
Some 1,000 people watched performance of songs, dances and contortion. Cashmere products were on show.
