Abhisit turns 47
BANGKOK, August 3 (TNA) - Thai Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva on Wednesday celebrated his 47th birthday anniversary, starting the new year with alms making at his residence in Bangkok.
Prime Minister Abhisit invited nine monks from Wat Daowadueng temple to his residence in Soi Sukhumvit 31 to receive offering made in celebration of his birthday. The morning ceremony was conducted amid tight security protection by the police, with entry denied to all reporters.
A group of supporters apparently turned out to offer their good wishes and birthday presents to the outgoing Thai premier. (TNA)
