Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The "Thermal pipes" incorporated company has announced that it would make a restriction on hot water in some parts of the city from August 28 to September 10. This measure is taken in order to repair apartments' hot water pipes.
- The Red Data Book of Mongolia will be updated with a financing of MNT 300 million. According to a source, the new Red Data Book will be published in Mongolian and English languages and will be illustrated with high quality photos and pictures.
- Some creative artists of the NHK TV channel of Japan are to make a documentary together with Mongolian artists of long song and khoomii (throat singing).
- The "Hunnu" group of folk arts have left for the Republic of Korea to take part in the Sacheon International Percussion Festival.
- Meals coupons will be distributed to 4,271 low-income families in frames of the sub-program on nutritional support for the vulnerable group to run from 2010 to 2011. Children aged up to 16 years will have a coupon costing MNT 5,000 a month, and a child aged above 16 years old will get a coupon costing 10,000.
- The Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry has decided to dig 8,000 artesian wells in UB city and 21 provinces.
