Minju Joson Blasts Japan's Planned Introduction of Early Warning Satellite

Pyongyang, August 2 (KCNA) -- It was reported that the Japanese government on July 9 started examining the introduction of U.S.-made early warning satellite capable of detecting ballistic missile launch. The funds for its introduction will be included in the budget for fiscal year 2012.
In this regard, those concerned of the Japanese government are floating the story that the satellite introduction is aimed at preventing disasters such as forest fires caused by the massive earthquake that hit East Japan.
Minju Joson Tuesday observes in a bylined commentary in this regard:
This is nothing but a poor farce to calm down the international community's caution against Japan.
It is a sheer lie that Japan is set to introduce such expensive high-tech satellite for fear of forest fires and other disasters. What Japan seeks is not to prevent disasters but to gain military supremacy in the space field.
Spurs being put by Japan to bolstering its military muscle under the absurd pretence are to turn Japan into a military giant at an early date and round off the military preparations for realizing its ambition for overseas aggression.
The above-said move of Japan is now posing great danger to the security in Asia.
