FORUM OF KHANGAI REGION'S YOUTHS APPROACHES
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ On occasion of the International Year of Youths, the Youth Consultative Committee (YCC) at the United Nations will organize a forum August 2-5 in Khovsgol aimag under auspices of the UNICEF and UNFPA.
Some 70 young people will represent Khovsgol, Bulgan, Arkhangai and Ovorkhangai aimags at the upcoming meeting. The want to increase a participation of the localities' youths in realization of a recommendation released by the "Mutual-understanding--cooperation" national youths' consultation, to present the works done within the International Year of Youths, and to run information and propaganda for youths.
An opening of the forum will be attended by Argentina Matavel, the Permanent Representative of the UNFPA to Mongolia; J.Tsolmon, the Vice Minister of Health; members of the YCC; and officials from a Ministry of Education, Culture and Science. Discussions will run focusing on education, health and employment issues, and an appeal for the youths will be released.
The YCC members will also make a presentation of a book named "Student-2011", organize a training themed "Climate change, contemporary education, leadership and participation of youths". The local young people intend to run other measures such as experiences sharing, the lake Khovsgol cleaning campaign, and arts, culture and health programs.
