Education links with India strengthened
SYDNEY, Aug 01 (AAP) -Australia and India are boosting education and training links with a new website for information sharing by institutions in each country.
The Australia India Education Links site was launched in New Delhi on Monday by Tertiary Education Minister Chris Evans and India's Human Resource Development Minister Kapil Sibal.
Senator Evans and Mr Sibal also signed a memorandum of cooperation on student mobility and welfare that will strengthen scrutiny of education agents on both sides.
The ministers were co-chairing the inaugural meeting of the Australia-India Education Council, set up to improve education, training and economic ties between the two countries.
