Kim Jong Il Provides Field Guidance to May 11 Factory

Pyongyang, July 30 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, provided field guidance to the May 11 Factory.
Going round the electronic device assembling shop and other places, he acquainted himself with the modernization, management and operation of the factory.
He highly praised the scientists, technicians and workers of the factory for having built a new process capable of producing hundreds of thousands of liquid crystal display TV sets in a year.
What is important is to rapidly increase the production of articles for cultural use and electronic goods including liquid crystal display TV sets to meet the ever-growing need of the people, he said.
It is of special importance to improve the quality of all products turned out at the factory and, at the same time, cut down the production cost through deep-going scientific researches, he noted, stressing that only then, the products of this factory can be popular among customers and it is possible to bring about a new turn in enterprise management. -0-
