STATE HEADS HOLD NEGOTIATIONS


Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ Official negotiations were held Thursday between the Presidents of Mongolia and the Republic of India.
The dignitaries have concluded achievements gained in the bilateral relations since Mongolian President's visit to India in 2009.
The Presidents have underlined that the ties in the politics, security and defense sectors have been activating, and that the launch of the business and investment cooperation in mineral resources and mining is promising thanks to the mutual efforts. The sides have agreed to support the cooperation in nuclear energy, mining, agriculture, culture, education, health, sciences and IT, and to develop the ties in social welfare, environment and localities cooperation.
The sides have reached an agreement to establish soon a credit agreement of USD 20 million, to be granted from the government of India to Mongolia, for founding a Mongolia-India joint center of IT education and outsourcing in UB.
The Indian President has said India decided to increase number of Mongolian students to study in India with the governmental scholarships in frames of the 2009-2012 culture cooperation program, and to augment a number of Mongolians that enroll in India's Technical and Economic Cooperation Program to 150.
The two Presidents have agreed to establish a Mongolian-Indian joint school and to renovate training base of the School of Production and Craftsmanship named after Rajiv Gandhi and of a center of information, communication and technology named after Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
Mrs. Patil has fully appreciated proposals of Mongolian President to strengthen the tradition of supporting each other at regional and international arenas, strengthen the democracy in the region within a presidency period of Mongolia in the Community of Democracies, especially to cooperate in distributing the education of democracy.
