MALAYSIAN KING RECEIVES CREDENTIALS OF SIX AMBASSADORS AND ONE HIGH COMMISSIONER

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 16 (Bernama) -- Malaysian King Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin received the credentials of six incoming foreign ambassadors and a high commissioner at the National Palace here.

The six ambassadors are Frank Hans Dannenberg Castellanos from the
Dominican
Republic, March Ungeheuer (Luxemborg), Boyko Hristov Mirchev (Bulgaria), Dr.
Gunter Gruber (Germany), Jan Fury (Czech Republic) and Nadir Yousif El-Tayeb
(Sudan).

The High Commissioner is David B. Collins of Canada.

Prior to this, Castellanos, 36, was the ambassador to India, and Ungeheur,
47, was the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Luxembourg to
Malaysia with residence in Bangkok, Thailand.

Mirchev, 50, was formerly the ambassador to Indonesia while Gruber, 60, was
the consul-general in Sydney.

Fury, 54, was formerly the Asia Pacific Department's Director of the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Czech Republic and Nadir, 48, was the
Director of the State Minister in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in
Sudan.

Collins, 55, was the Canadian High Commissioner to Pakistan prior to this
posting.
