KEY WEST TO LAUNCH WEB-BASED TELECONFERENCING SERVICE IN MALAYSIA SOON

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 16 (Bernama) -- Key West Global Telecommunications Bhd will soon launch its web-based teleconferencing service in Malaysia through its subsidiary, Voicestar Communications Sdn Bhd.

In a statement here Tuesday, Key West said this new teleconferencing
service
is known as Connikate. It is an in-house developed service that is accessible
via the web portal, www.connikate.com.

The company has launched the service in North America via its subsidiary,
Times Telecom Inc, a leading Canadian-based telecommunications provider.

It said the service was launched under two separate types of
teleconferencing services by two efficient assistants - "Conni" and
"Kate".

With Conni, users can make free conference calls by sending out invitations
to as many as 30 people. Conni will request the invited parties to call a phone
number and then request that they enter the given room number and PIN.

On the other hand, Kate offers users a paid service with limited free
conference calls.

Through Kate, users can give instructions on when they want the conference
calls to be held and provide the phone numbers of the participants they wish
to talk to.

At the scheduled time, Kate will call the host and connect all the parties
concerned.

Kate can also record and play back calls as well as allow users to download
the audio file and forward it to any recipient.
