First ever Turkish investment in Maldives to open on October 1
ISTANBUL (A.A) - July 25, 2011 - The first ever Turkish investment in Maldives, a luxury resort hotel, will open on October 1, 2011.
Ayada Maldives Resort Hotel was constructed by Aydeniz Insaat, a Turkish construction company.
At a press conference held in Istanbul on Monday, Ayada Maldives Tourism Coordinator Omer Ulke said that they chose Maldives for their investment as Maldives was an important tourism brand in the world.
Ulke said that the cost of the hotel was about 110 million U.S. dollars. "We will employ 350 people in high season. Half of employees will be Maldivians," he said.
Set on the 150,000 square metre Maguhdhuyaa Island, the hotel's amenities includes seven indulgent restaurants, bars and cafes offering worldwide cuisine, a extensive 3,500 square metre Spa& Health club AySpa by ESPA, as well as a kid's club, a diving centre and a range of water sports.
Each of the spacious 50 water villas and 62 seafront villas (starting from 103 square metres) is beautifully designed, stylishly furnished for comfort and provides maximum privacy with its own private pool, terrace and breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean.
