Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Chairs Cabinet's Session 2

SPA- He confirmed that the Kingdom's economic orientation is based on
Islamic understanding on achieving equilibrium between the interests
of an individual and the rights of society and between the capital
freedom and social responsibilities.

In this regard, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques instructed all
officials to abide by these basic principles and exert more effort to
implement the projects approved by the State in the service of
citizens and to meet their needs.

The Minister of Culture and Information announced that the Custodian
of the Two Holy Mosques instructed that the holy Aid Al-Fitr vacation
for government personnel, be them civil or military, be extended to
include the 6th, 7th, and 8th of Shawal 1429 H. so that the first
working day after the recess falls on Saturday, the 11th of Shawal
1429 H.

The Minister said that the Cabinet then reviewed a number of local
issues on its agenda and took the following decisions:

The Cabinet approved an agreement on cooperation between the
Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Government of the
Republic of Italy in the field of defense which was initialed in Rome
on November 6, 2007.

The Cabinet approved an agreement on demarking sea border in Al-Aqaba
Gulf between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Hashemite Kingdom of
Jordan which was initialed in Jeddah on December 6, 2007.
