SPEAKER MEETS MEMBER OF JAPAN'S HOUSE OF REPS


Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The Parliament Speaker D.Demberel met Monday Mr. N.Koga, a member of the Japan parliament's House of Representatives and acting head of the Japan-Mongolia friendship group at the House of Representatives. In frames of the visit, he is planning to convey a letter of Japan's Premier to Mongolia's President Ts.Elbegdorj.
Mr. Koga has said that the Japanese people sincerely thank Mongolia for assistance given to them during the natural disaster.
The Speaker has noted thqt the two countries still keep firm and good neighborhood partnership relations, hoping that the cooperation will strengthen at a strategic level. Mr Demberel has underlined that Government and people of Japan helped Mongolia in times of transition period and developed the friendly partnership relations with us.
The dignitaries have agreed that a door already has opened for the bilateral cooperation in the fields of energy, mining and air transport.
Mr. Koga has said he is visiting Mongolia with an aim to meet with Mongolia's Prime Minister to discuss the Tavan tolgoi issues. Mentioning that the 40th anniversary of the Mongolia-Japan diplomatic relations will be marked next year, Mr. Koga has pointed out Japan attaches to it a great importance.
In frames of the four-day visit, Mr. Koga has attended a ceremony of marathon that took place in Tsonjinboldog, Tov aimag. His visit will last until July 27.
