Kim Jong Il Participates in Election for Local People's Assemblies

Pyongyang, July 25 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission, Sunday went to the polling station of Sub-constituency No.150 of Constituency No. 264 for the election of deputies to the Pyongyang City People's Assembly and casted ballots.
He was accompanied by Kim Jong Un, vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission of the WPK, and Kim Kyong Ok, member of the CMC of the WPK and first vice department director of the C.C., the WPK.
He received voting cards from the chairman of the election committee of the above-said sub-constituency and voted for Pak Hyong Ryol, manager of the Pyongyang Cornstarch Factory, who is candidate for a deputy to the Pyongyang City People's Assembly, and Kang Chol Ho, manager of the Ryongsong Quail Factory, who is candidate for a deputy to the Ryongsong District People's Assembly.
He met with the candidates and encouraged them to fulfill their missions and duties in the effort for the prosperity of the country.
