Thai Health Ministry works to save a life of the victim of the third helicopter crash
BANGKOK, July 24 (TNA) - The Public Health Ministry of Thailand was doing its best to save the life of the mechanic who was injured in the third Army helicopter crash in Kaeng Krachan District of Phetchaburi Province.
The injured mechanic was reportedly still conscious and would soon undergo a thorough checkup to determine if he needed an urgent operation.
Dr Paijit Warachit, Permanent Secretary of the Public Health Ministry, said public health officials helped to remove the mechanic from the Bell 212 helicopter crash site in the Kaeng Krachan National Park and send him to Phra Chom Klao Hospital in Phetchaburi Province. He reached the Hospital at about 11.30am.
The Permanent Secretary confirmed that Sergeant Patanaporn was now conscious after having already received saline solution. He said the injured mechanic suffered serious injury after falling off the helicopter before it crashed in the forest. He also sustained burns in the lower part of his body and might still be shocked with the crash. (TNA)
