Afghan government hands over Dr. Aafia's son Ahmed to Pakistan officials
Islamabad, Sept 15 PPI: Afghan government handed over Pakistan's national Mrs Dr Aafia Siddiqui's son Muhammad Ahmed on Monday to Pakistani authorities in Kabul.
Pakistan's embassy press counsellor Naeem Khan talking to PTV on phone confirmed
taking over custody of Muhammad Ahmed and sending him to Islamabad.
He said Afghan Ministry of Home Affairs handed over Dr. Aafia Siddiqui's son
Muhammad Ahmed to Pakistan officials in Kabul at 1030 hrs on Monday.
Naeem Khan said Muhammad Ahmed was in ``good physical and mental health. He is OK
and fine.''
About other two children (son and daughter) of Dr. Aafia (who is currently under
United States detention in New York), he said only Muhammad Ahmed was in custody of
Afghanistan and he does not know whereabouts of other children.
