Nepal committed to investor security: Prachanda

New Delhi, Sep 15 (PTI) Nepalese Prime Minister Pushpa
Kamal Dahal Prachanda Monday said his government is committed
to create an investor-friendly environment.

The Nepalese premier, who is on a four-day visit to
India, also said his country's relations with India and China
are not comparable.

"We will do all we can to ensure industrial security in
Nepal. The government of Nepal remains committed to adopt
every possible measures to provide investors necessary
security," he said while addressing a luncheon meeting
organised by Confederation of Indian Industry (C.I.I.),
Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry
(F.I.C.C.I.) and Assocham here.

When asked how does he see Nepal's relation with China
vis-a vis Indo-Nepal ties, Prachanda said the two cannot be
compared.

"Due to specific cultural, historical and tradition of
economic interdependence, relations with India are crucial and
vital...although we also want to develop relations with China.
They cannot be compared right now and there is no question of
comparison."

On the issue of security, Prachanda said,"We understand
security concerns of India and our own. We have to go ahead
collectively." PTI RR
