Utility providers would need NOC to carry out development work
Karachi, July 22, 2011 (PPI): KESC, KWSB, SSGC and other utility providing institutions would need to acquire NOC from Department of Works and Services for digging of roads to carry out developmental project. A committee would be formed to issue NOC, according to a decision taken at a meeting here Friday.
Senior Minister for Works and Services Dr. Zulfiqar Mirza presided over the meeting at his office. Information minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, ACS Development Ishaq Lashari, MD, Lyari Development Authority Shafiq Rehman Paracha and others attended the meeting.
A formal announcement about formation of committee would be made after next meeting.
The meeting was informed that a sum of Rs.800 million has been allocated for the developmental work in Lyari for clean drinking water, rehabilitation of sewerage system, development of hospitals and clinics, schools and colleges, parks and other facilities for the residents of that locality.
Senior Minister also discussed construction of Lee Market Flyover and instructed that all relevant information be provided in the next sitting. He further said the developmental work must be completed within specified time.
