Local open-source developers go global
HCM City (VNA) - Vietnam's open-source developers have joined Moblin.org, an international open-source community by adding a Vietnamese interface on the website as well as launching a completion among Vietnamese coders.
The community of open-source developers now has six members, the US ,
Japan , China , India , Brazil and Vietnam .
Vietnam 's great IT potential, based on the assessment of Intel and
Yahoo, the globe's two largest IT corporations, was behind Mobilin.org's

The competition calls for ideas related to open-source software that can be
used for mobile devices used in the entertainment and media industry.
Any Vietnamese, who is 18 years old and above, currently living or working
within the country's territory, is eligible to take part in the contest.
Entries must be submitted at the website at www.moblin.org and should be
accompanied with a brief explanation.
The contest deadline is November 8, 2009. An online public poll will be
