Sudanese Cabinet Hails Doha Agreement on Darfur  Peace  


Khartoum, July 21 (QNA) - The Sudanese Council of Ministers has praised the Peace Agreement,  signed recently in Doha between the Sudanese government and the Liberation and Justice  Movement (LJM), which includes more than 20 Darfurian factions.
​During a meeting today, chaired by Sudanese President Omar Al-Bashir, the Council emphasized that the agreement lays a solid foundation for peace and development in Darfur.
   It expressed  thanks and appreciation to the Government of the State of Qatar and its people for sponsoring the negotiations that resulted in this historic agreement aimed to settle peace in Darfur.
       The Council of Ministers called of all parties, especially the people of Darfur, to support the Doha agreement until the implementation of projects that have been agreed upon and that would change the reality of political, economic and social  life in the region.
   Spokesman of  the Council Dr. Omar Mohamed Saleh said  the Council listened during the meeting  to a briefing on the Doha agreement presented by Head of the Sudanese government negotiating delegation Dr. Amin Hassan Omar. (QNA)
