Distt (Sialkot): Six Sialkot based youths die of suffocation in container near Turkish border
SIALKOT, July 21, 2011 (PPI): As many as six youths belonging to Sialkot district have reportedly died due to suffocation in a container near the border of Turkey in a bid to illegally enter in
Turkish territory for going to Greece with the help of their international human traffickers.
According to the details, some international human traffickers in Sialkot, Karachi and Quetta had shown the golden dreams to the said youths of their lucid future in Greece. Sialkot district based six youths identified as Bilal Ahmed son of Ghulam Abbas resident of Motra-Daska, Aamir son Rehmat Ali, Muhammad son of Yousaf, Zeeqaad son of Muhammad Iqbal resident of village Chak Gillan-East (Daska tehsil), Pervaiz son of Inayat Ali resident of Chawinda city (Pasrur
tehsil) and Muhammad Imran son of Muhammad Tufail resident of village Thatha Goraya-Daska had gone to Iran from Pakistan and were trying to enter illegally into Turkish Territory for going to Greece with the help of their agents (international human traffickers).
The accused agents had loaded the above-mentioned youths into a small sized container for this purpose. But to very tight vigilance by the Turkish Boarder Security Forces, the accused human
traffickers escaped in a bid to avoid their arrest by parking the tightly closed container there into an open and deserted place near the Turkish border, where, all the six youth died due to suffocation in the container. They lost their lives in a bid to go to Greece for their lucid future there.
The senior officials of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) this nasty tragedy occurred there today, as the Turkish border security unlocked the container and found dead bodies there. They contacted the concerned Pakistan officials and informed them about this tragedy, as the deceased youths were identified as Pakistanis through their passports and other travelling documents.
FIA officials added that the efforts were being made for bringing back their dead bodies at earliest. The grieved families told the newsmen that the concerned Pakistani officials had informed them about this nasty tragedy. The families added that their beloved sons were going to Greece after paying Rs. 370,000 each to the Sialkot, Karachi and Quetta based agents, sub agents and human traffickers, in this regard. However, they remained unable to tell the names of the accused human traffickers.
